Racism is a form of prejudice that can lead to extreme actions like genocide, which is the deliberate killing of a group of people based on their race. Similarly, prejudice itself can lead to harmful actions, but it does not always escalate to such severe outcomes. In this analogy, if we consider prejudice as a negative attitude towards a group, the equivalent harmful action that can arise from it might be discrimination. Discrimination is when someone treats others unfairly based on their prejudiced beliefs, like not hiring someone because of their race or gender. For example, if a manager refuses to promote a worker simply because of their ethnicity, that reflects prejudice leading to discrimination, similar to how racism can lead to genocide.
